About us
We believe school time should be spent on people, not administration.

Technology shaped by schools

Kentaur emerges from a clear insight: everyday life in preschools and schools has become unnecessarily complex. Educators, school leaders, and principals often work across multiple disconnected systems. Time that should be spent on children, students, teaching, leadership, and development is instead consumed by administration, duplicate work, and information searching.
We saw a need for something different.
Kentaur is developed within Tellusgruppen, together with educators and school leaders in our own operations. This means the platform is built close to the reality it is designed to support. The starting point is not the technology itself, but the people who will use it — and ultimately the children and students who will benefit from better conditions for development.
Kentaur is therefore not about adding yet another system. It is about bringing information and workflows together, simplifying everyday work, and creating better ways of working. By making AI a natural part of the platform, Kentaur can reduce administrative workload, structure information, and provide support where it is needed most.
The goal is simple: less time on things that drain the organization's energy, more time for relationships, teaching, follow-up, and development.
For educators, this means a simpler everyday work experience. For school leadership and principals, it means better data for decisions, follow-up, and quality work. For children, students, and guardians, it means an organization with greater presence, clarity, and quality.
Kentaur is tested and developed continuously in our own preschools and schools. This allows us to build support that is rooted in everyday reality, shaped by real needs, and designed to grow over time.
Our why

We believe technology should free up time, not create more work. When administration decreases and information becomes easier to use, better conditions are created for what really matters: children's and students' learning, safety, and development.

Security and data protection

Kentaur is developed with information security as a foundation. As a school provider, we have a special responsibility to protect information about children, students, staff, and school operations, and that responsibility influences how the platform is designed, developed, and used.
Data is handled with clear access levels and in compliance with GDPR. Information is used only for its intended purpose, and when AI is used, it operates in controlled environments where data remains within the system.
Our work is guided by established information security standards, including ISO 27001, and we are preparing for upcoming NIS2 requirements.
For us, security is not only about technology. It is about creating trust and confidence throughout the entire organization.
